Dr Peter Mhagama is Associate Professor in the department of Language and Communication at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences. He holds a PhD in Mass Communication research obtained in 2015 from the University of Leicester in the UK, a master’s degree in Culture, Communication and Media studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa (2005), and a bachelor’s degree in Education (Humanities) from the University of Malawi (1999).

His research interests are in communication for development, community radio, media audiences and social and behaviour change communication. He has done a lot of research in these areas which resulted in a number of publications.
