Chimwemwe Msosa is a lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences. He holds a PhD and a master’s in biomedical engineering from the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China), respectively.

Chimwemwe’s current research explores the mechanobiology of infectious pathogens, including TB and malaria, by employing computational methods to identify potential biomarkers for diagnostic microdevices. His key publications analytically and computationally examine erythrocyte mechanics during malaria invasion, with mathematical models published in the Journal of the Mechanical Behaviour of Biomaterials.
