Richard Mike Mlambe is an accomplished Malawian legal practitioner and academic with over 11 years of experience in legal practice, higher education, and research. Admitted to practice in all Malawian courts, including the Supreme Court of Appeal, he combines extensive legal expertise with a strong academic foundation in international commercial law. He currently serves as a Lecturer at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), where he teaches and researches in private international law, international commercial law, international arbitration, and international investment law.
Richard has practical experience in commercial and corporate legal practice and has advised legal institutions and statutory bodies on private international law and arbitration matters. He has published scholarly works in reputable international platforms and presented papers at academic and professional conferences across Malawi, Kenya, Ghana, and South Africa. His contributions to academia and research have earned him recognition, including the Early Career Researcher of the Year Award at MUBAS in 2023. He is passionate about legal scholarship, policy-oriented legal research, and advancing knowledge in international and comparative law.
