On 26th September 2025, the Research Support Unit (RSU) in collaboration with Water Sanitation, Hygiene and Technology Development (WASHTED), hosted a seminar on the introduction to the Discovery Research Support Hub (DRSH) at MUBAS.
The session was facilitated by Kate Mangulama from the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome (MLW) Research Programme, who highlighted the opportunities and support systems available through DRSH aimed at strengthening research capacity across Malawi’s academic and scientific communities.
The seminar attracted a large audience from MUBAS who actively engaged in discussions, shared experiences and sought guidance on how to leverage DRSH initiatives for their professional growth. Their enthusiasm and participation made the session both interactive and impactful.
Speaking during the seminar, Mangulama emphasized DRSH’s commitment to nurturing early and mid-career researchers through the Fellowship Preparedness Scheme and Seed Grants.
The event demonstrated the university’s dedication to empowering researchers.
