The Agriculture, Nutrition & Health (ANH) Academy is pleased to announce the second round of Science-Policy Fellowships, funding three researchers for one year of full-time work to:
- Support evidence-based decisions by a policy-making organisation in Sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia.
- Build skills and experience in translating and positioning scientific evidence to guide policies and programmes that increase the use of healthy diets or reduce food loss and waste in Sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia.
Successful proposals will demonstrate how this Fellowship builds on their past work, furthers their career, and benefits from their proposed mentorship and placement within a policy organisation.
Priority topics
ANH Academy invites Fellowship proposals that provide decision makers with actionable, robust evidence from recent studies about either:
- demand for healthy diets, or
- food supply, loss and waste.
Each project should also address climate change and the environment, actions on equity and gender, or both topics.
Mentorship & policy placement
- Fellowships are guided by a Policy Mentor from a public sector institution in Sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia, and a Research Mentor from an academic institution.
- Fellows spend significant time in the Policy Placement, working with the Policy Mentor’s organisation to tailor and deliver research findings for policy uptake.
Eligibility
- Eligible candidates may come from any country or background, with an earned doctorate in any field related to agriculture, nutrition or health.
- Applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia are especially encouraged to apply
